ElevenLabs Secures $500M Funding, Reaches $11B Valuation
They stand for audio AI more than any other company: ElevenLabs, the audio company specializing in artificial intelligence, has completed a Series D funding round of 500 million US dollars and is now valued at 11 billion US dollars. The valuation has more than tripled within twelve months. Sequoia Capital is leading the investment round, with Andrew Reed joining the board of directors. Previous investors A16Z and ICONIQ have substantially increased their stakes, while new investors Lightspeed Venture Partners, Evantic Capital, and BOND are participating.
Since the company’s founding in 2022, total capital raised amounts to 781 million US dollars. The company closed fiscal year 2025 with annual recurring revenue of over 330 million US dollars. According to the company, this development is driven by growing demand from international large customers.
Technological Advancement and Research Focus
ElevenLabs operates three central platforms for different application areas. The enterprise platform ElevenAgents enables the scalable deployment of voice and chat agents with integrated testing, monitoring, and reliability functions. Users include Deutsche Telekom, Square, Revolut, and the Ukrainian government. The ElevenCreative platform is aimed at content creators and brands for the production, editing, and localization of audio content in more than 70 languages, with Duolingo, NVIDIA, and TIME among its users. Through the ElevenAPI, developers gain access to production-ready voice infrastructure with low latency, used by Meta, Epic Games, Salesforce, MasterClass, and Harvey and supporting platforms with over one billion users.
The company announces comprehensive technological improvements to its voice agents. The innovations include reduced response times, increased expressiveness, and a novel turn-taking system based on the V3 Conversational Model. In research, ElevenLabs focuses on emotional conversation models, synchronization technologies, and audio general intelligence. Co-founders Piotr Dabkowski and Mati Staniszewski explained that the company has transitioned from the original development of human-like voices to a broader approach that develops foundational models across the entire audio spectrum – from text-to-speech through transcription and music to dubbing and conversation models. The company plans to expand its creative offering and further develop agents that can speak, write, and act, while working toward a long-term public listing.
International Expansion with Local Distribution Structures
The fresh capital flows into the establishment of locally anchored go-to-market teams in 14 cities worldwide. ElevenLabs is establishing locations in London, New York, San Francisco, Warsaw, Dublin, Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore, Bangalore, Sydney, São Paulo, Berlin, Paris, and Mexico City. This geographic expansion aims to accelerate the rollout of the ElevenAgents and ElevenCreative platforms to enterprise customers worldwide.
ElevenLabs positions itself as an AI research and product company that is reshaping the interaction between humans and technology. The starting point was the development of one of the first human-like speech models, from which the company has evolved into a provider serving enterprises, creatives, and developers with different platforms. The systems combine proprietary AI models with integrations, orchestration, and enterprise infrastructure into production-ready solutions for customer experience, sales, marketing, and internal processes.
