StartupMilestones.eu: Heute starten die ersten 3 Podcast-Folgen mit Storys über europäische Gründer
Der österreichische Seriengründer Florian Kandler hat, wie berichtet, mit StartupMilestones.eu eine neue Podcast-Serie ins Leben gerufen, in denen er europäische Start-up-Gründer interviewt. „In jeder Episode ist ein anderer Gründer zu Gast, aus europäischen Ländern von Spanien über Finnland und Österreich bis Albanien“, sagt Kandler. Die Mindestanforderung: Der Gründer muss mindestens 250.000 Euro Risikokapital eingesammelt haben, um sich für ein Interview zu qualifizieren. Ziel ist die Wissensvermittlung in der Szene.
Heute geht StartupMilestones.eu mit gleich drei Folgen an den Start. Die englischsprachigen Podcasts kann man sich entweder auf StartupMilestones.eu, via iTunes oder auf YouTube anhören – oder sich einfach regelmäßig auf TrendingTopics.at reinziehen. In Zukunft gibt es immer eine neue Folge montags und donnerstags – natürlich auch hier auf TrendingTopics.at
Folge 1: Michal Smida, Gründer von Twisto Payments aus Prag
Founded in July 2013, they have over 3 million Euros in Funding to date. Their first round was 200.000 Euros from two angels – interestingly, they had invested in his previous startup, which failed. But still, they gave him money again for Twisto – and Michal will explain why. We also talk about challenges of growing a two-sided business model, the need of patient capital for a fintech startup, and the strategic perspective of a Czech startup on expansion in CEE and Europe.

Folge 2: Rudolf Ball, Mitgründer von Symvaro aus Klagenfurt
Symvaro offers smart city solutions for water and waste. After bootstrapping for a couple of years, Rudolf Ball raised 300.000 Euros from a group of angels in 2015, and he is currently raising his VC round. We talk about bootstrapping, how to find the right accelerator, and how to handle investors and their opinions. And Rudolf emphasizes that every entrepreneur must take one painful step, in order to set himself up for success – and he will tell us what that is.

Folge 3: Olivier Hamel, CEO von Prodibi aus Genf
Prodibi develops technology to optimize and share images over the web. After founding in 2014 they have raised 400.000 Euros. Olivier has won a series of awards for his startup – and he explains his strategy behind that and warns us, to be very selective about the events and awards we participate in. We also talk about how to plug in to and benefit from the local startup ecosystem, when you are a first-time founder. And Olivier explains why ignoring the advice of focusing on one industry first, makes sense for his business.
