Open Applications: Online Workshop For The Generation Of Exponential Solutions About The Future Of Work In Bulgaria
During The Big Reset Days, we started the conversation about the Future of Work in Bulgaria, following the COVID-19 state of emergency. It was a time when all of a sudden the concept of remote work changed its meaning for companies in Bulgaria – for many, it used to be just an employee perk but it quickly had to become the new normal. In addition, according to the National Statistical Institute, between March 13th and June 7th, there had been 158k newly registered unemployed people.
Together with the Bulgarian technology and entrepreneurial community we discussed important questions such as: What are the new skills and mindsets that need to be learned and adopted? How can we be effective leaders and communicators in a remote-first world? Is it time to focus more on mental health in the workspace?
Future of Work: From Ideas To Action
Now we see other organizations looking to explore the topic further. From June 19th to June 21st, the Purpose Alliance, the international non-profit organization following the steps of exponential innovation consultancy ExO.Works, will be hosting a free online workshop dedicated to the generation of concrete transformational projects for the future of work in Bulgaria.
The initiative is with an educational focus and suitable for people with a diverse range of backgrounds – from students through entrepreneurs and founders to human resource specialists looking to bring innovation to the office.
During the first day of the program, participants will receive training and coaching on innovation methodologies and the ExO framework in particular. Then, on June 21st, attendees will form teams, pick the problems they want to solve, and spend three hours developing exponential ideas before finally presenting them to mentors for feedback. After the end of the challenge, the resulting initiatives will be at the idea stage but concepts may be developed further with the help of the coaches. So far similar challenges have been launched all over the world – South America, Africa, and The Middle East.
