With a completely European infrastructure, affordable prices for consumers and strong partners such as IONOS CLOUD, Bitpanda and Geizhals, the Vienna-based startup eustella brings the first AI platform that enables true digital sovereignty.
VIENNA, June 25, 2026 – The recent ban on Anthropic’s top AI models for non-US citizens has dramatically underscored Europe’s dependence in the field of Artificial Intelligence. Today, the Vienna-based startup eustella delivers the answer. With the launch of the eustella app for smartphones (iPhone, Android) and web, the company sets the standard for a new era of Artificial Intelligence: the era of sovereign, European AI.
In doing so, eustella covers the full range of applications – from internet research, travel planning and news through to image generation and the creation of presentations. eustella builds on open-weights models and thereby retains full technological control. eustella operates the AI models itself and exclusively on European infrastructure: Gemma 4 (Google), Qwen 3.5/3.7 (Alibaba), gpt-oss-120b (OpenAI) and Mistral (Mistral AI) as well as Flux (Black Forest Labs) for image generation. No data flows to the model developers or to the USA, since the entire infrastructure supply chain consists exclusively of European companies. The entire processing remains 100% in the EU, and user data is never used for training AI models.

In Europe there are more than 130 million AI users, but the majority have so far relied on US solutions.
